All about Ragamuffin's:
This page is your one stop shop for everything "Muffin" from breed history, to grooming requirements, recommended diet, and of course some fun facts it's all here.

Ragamuffin cats are large, affectionate, and docile, known for their plush, rabbit-like fur, and extremely gentle personalities. Developed from Ragdolls in the 1990s, these patient, gentle and highly intelligent cats often learn tricks with ease, walk on leashes, and thrive in family environments. They are wonderful with children, and do well with other gentle pets (yes, even dogs). They live 12–18 years, maturing fully at four years old.
Key Facts About Ragamuffin Cats:
-
Appearance: They have a broad chest, short neck, and extremely soft, tangle-resistant fur that comes in a huge variety of colors and patterns.
-
Personality: Known for being "puppy-like" and highly sociable, they are gentle, loving, and rarely aggressive. For this reason Ragamuffin's are an indoor only breed and should never be allowed to roam freely outside.
-
Size: They are heavy-boned, ranging from 10 to 20 pounds.
-
Health: Generally healthy, they can be predisposed to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) so look for breeders that health test (and can provide proof of negative test for both parents) .
-
Origin: The breed originated in the United States, branching off from the IRCA Cherubim cat lines in 1994.
-
Care: They require minimal grooming, just a quick brush with steel pet comb a few times a week, and monthly nail trims.
Unlike Ragdolls, Ragamuffins can have varied eye colors and are not limited to blue.

Feeding: Ragamuffin's are large cats that mature slowly, as with any pet a high quality diet is a must. We feed and recommend Nulo And Tikki Cat age appropriate dry and wet food and of course some yummy cat treat's just because.
